What makes nano-hydroxyapatite different from fluoride?
Nano-hydroxyapatite (nHAp) is a biocompatible mineral that's identical to what your teeth are naturally made of. Originally developed by NASA, it works to directly rebuild tooth enamel, while fluoride helps your teeth absorb minerals. At a concentration of 10% (which Zero has), nHAp has been shown to be just as effective as fluoride in preventing cavities while reducing sensitivity.
Why 10% nano-hydroxyapatite—does the concentration matter?
Clinical research has demonstrated that this precise 10% concentration effectively penetrates enamel tubules and promotes remineralization. Lower concentrations may not provide sufficient coverage of tooth surfaces, while higher concentrations don't show additional benefits. Many brands claim to have nano-hydroxyapatite in their toothpaste without ever disclosing the concentration, which is often 3X lower than the recommended dose.

I have been using this toothpaste for the past week and I can already tell a difference. The aftertaste protection does work, the regular toothpaste leaves a long lasting aftertaste and being autistic it really bothers me and I wouldn’t brush. I brush twice a day now with this toothpaste it’s the best I have tied.

The toothpaste is probably the highest quality product I’ve had since all the normal name brands. I’ve been through multiple different types and brands to try and find something that would suit me best, and this has been the one to satisfy me the most! The mint is a bit strong at first, and the flavor sits in your mouth for a bit, but after the initial bite of mint, it calms down quite nicely! It’s very much a clean feeling brush, and doesn’t feel like you wrecked your teeth with chemicals after a single brush. My only complaint so far is the tube comes a liiiittle empty, and for the price I would think it would be filled to the brim, however that is negligible when the tube lasts you months for a single person anyway. Well worth it!
