Nano-hydroxyapatite (nHAp) is a biocompatible mineral that's identical to what your teeth are naturally made of. Originally developed by NASA, it works to directly rebuild tooth enamel, while fluoride helps your teeth absorb minerals. At a concentration of 10% (which Zero has), nHAp has been shown to be just as effective as fluoride in preventing cavities while reducing sensitivity.

Our toothpaste has less foam than you might be used to—and there's a good reason for that! We chose not to include SLS, a chemical foaming agent commonly found in toothpastes (and shampoos, etc!). While we know people often associate foam with cleaning power, it doesn't provide any boost in cleaning. We prioritized using safe, natural ingredients over creating excessive foam.
